Jahrhunderts n. Chr. wurden wunderschöne Fußbodenmosaike freigelegt.

A highlight of my trip through Sicily was the Late Baroque town of Noto, located southwest of Syracuse. Noto has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002. The Cathedral of San Nicolò and the Palazzo Ducezio, Noto’s town hall, are particularly impressive. Another distinctive feature is the large staircases, adorned with fascinating graffiti, that can be found in various parts of the town.
After visiting Noto, I took a bicycle tour to the nearby Villa Romana del Tellaro. Beautiful floor mosaics have been uncovered at this Roman villa, which dates back to the mid-4th century AD.
